Oh my goodness, I don't know where to start in this post about one of the best blogger learning experiences I've had so far. I really didn't know what to expect from my first ever conference before attending the Create & Cultivate event, a gathering for female entrepreneurs in the digital space. So it really was fitting that it took place in a venue called Lofty Spaces. It was also my first time in Dallas which I enjoyed for the brief weekend trek. I must say that I was overwhelmed with all the blogger/boss babes that were in attendance and on the various panels.
My biggest take aways were from Annie Lawless from Suja because her story was inspirational and I drink her healthy juices. Loved Trop Rouge, Urban Bush Babes, Marianna Hewitt and all the women from that particular panel. I got a chance to meet Lauryn Evarts of The Skinny Confidential, as she gave a tutorial on the art of the flat lay. I was so inspired by them all.
And to end it all, I really loved hearing Emily’s story from Cashmere & Cupcakes and fellow introvert. I am so inspired by everything that she does. I ended up wanting to go to Soul Cycle, even though I don't have one nearby. For the final hurrah, the founders of Who, What, Wear ended on a high note about their ten year journey which started with a small newsletter highlighting what celebrities were wearing to now coming full circle and launching a new ongoing collection at Target. I literally went out the next day and picked up some cool pieces from the collection, that's how inspired I was with their dedication to the vision and making it come to fruition. How cool was it when I saw Hilary on TV wearing the vegan leather jacket when I was headed out to Target to peep the collection.
You should be the CEO of your career.
